meet nathan

I have lived or worked in St. Matthews nearly all of my adult life. I am a four-year retail veteran of Mall St. Matthews. I proposed to my wife, Ellen, at Brown Park, and we bought our first house near Westport Village.

I have a degree in Economics from the University of Louisville and an MPA in Government and Nonprofit Management from Marist College. I have interned for Representative Jim Wayne and Congressman John Yarmuth’s campaign.

I worked for the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a credit union examiner for seven years. I joined the federal government in a similar role in 2023 and am a card-carrying member of the National Treasury Employees Union.

I go by Nathan or Nate interchangeably, use masculine pronouns (he/him), and prefer “Mestizo” as one side of my family immigrated from Wales and the other from Mexico.
